The perfect sausage for the grill? It's the one from Salumificio Pezzi.

Directly from a historical Mantuan charcuterie factory, Salumificio Pezzi's salamelle represent excellence in the local gastronomic tradition. Made without the addition of water or ice, they guarantee excellent cooking performance, with no waste or loss of liquid. Only clean, carefully selected ingredients for a genuine and natural mixture.

The mixture is exclusively stuffed into natural gut, just as tradition dictates, guaranteeing tenderness and authentic flavour. Thanks to this craftsmanship, Pezzi salamella is perfect for grilling, but it also lends itself to being cooked in a pan or boiled, perhaps in the classic risotto alla mantovana.

HOW TO COOK

Instructions for use:

Heat the grill well, preferably over red-hot coals or charcoal. When it is hot, lay the pork sausages directly on the grill without adding oil: the meat will naturally release its fat, forming that irresistible golden crust.
Cook over a medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, turning them only when they come off the grill easily. When the surface is well browned, move the sausages to an area of more moderate heat (or raise the grill) and continue cooking for a further 7-8 minutes, so that they are cooked through on the inside as well.
Remember: it is pork, so it must be well cooked but still juicy.
Before serving, you can add a pinch of salt flakes, but taste first: the sausage is already rich in flavour thanks to the quality meat and traditional processing.
Perfect on its own or accompanied by grilled vegetables and crusty bread. Happy grilling!

DELIVERY

All products are delivered vacuum-packed: fillet, sirloin, arrosticini, rib-eye steaks, T-bone steaks, knife-point sausage, trotter, chicken, diaphragm and lamb can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

Products that are delivered in trays such as tartare and mince can be stored in the fridge for 1/2 days, whereas bombette, ciocche and all side dishes can be stored for 2 days.

All products can be frozen with the exception of: arrosticini, lamb chops, polpette della nonna, guancetta, vitello tonnato and cannoli siciliani.
